No photocopied scores will be allowed without official documentation attached to each score explaining that it is "on order, " OR "out of print," etc., and that publisher's permission to photocopy has been granted.

DEADLINES:
Festival Dates - Monday, March 6, 2012

Directors are expected to adhere to scheduled performance times as established by the site host. Performing groups are scheduled at 20 - 30 minute intervals (this includes set up, performance, and clearing the stage).

Fees: $75.00 plus $1.00 per student in the ensemble. The fee applies to EVERY ensemble scheduled to perform.

Things to remember:

  • If you teach both High School AND Middle School, please use a separate entry form/online registration for each School. Only one PO or check is necessary.

  • You must pay for everyone you enter. There are no refunds or deductions for no-shows.

  • Entries received past the January 29th deadline will be added to the end of the day.

  • Purchase orders should be made out to Central District VI, 800 Fruta Rd. NE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124

Director guidelines and Information:

  • How to figure fees owed for the festival: The fee is $75 per event plus $1 per student in the group. Each group costs a $75 entry fee; and an ensemble with 25 students will cost $100.

  • All fees from a school must be paid from previous District 6 festivals, before that school is allowed to enter upcoming festivals.

  • Three judges' copies of repertoire choral music must have the measures numbered and turned at check in.

  • All music should have the name of your school written on the front of it so that it can be returned to you.

  • Judges are asked not to lower a rating of a group based on the selection of the repertoire choral music. However, rock music or Broadway show music is considered to be inappropriate for this type of festival. Hopefully, groups will perform classical sacred or secular choral music literature.

  • Fill out three choral adjudication forms and one sight-reading adjudication form and turn in along with your music at check in.
