Description
Lead one of New Mexico's premier middle school band programs at El Dorado Community School (EDCS). We are seeking an energetic, skilled, and student-centered Band Director to continue the tradition of excellence established by this highly respected program. The successful candidate will teach beginning, intermediate, and advanced band to students in grades 5–8, building strong musicianship, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for music. Responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging instruction, preparing students for concerts and festivals, collaborating with colleagues, and fostering a positive, inclusive classroom culture where every student can thrive. El Dorado Community School's band program has earned statewide recognition for its outstanding achievement. In 2022, the advanced band was awarded First Place and received a Superior Rating at the New Mexico Activities Association (NMAA) Middle School State Concert Band Contest, marking the first state concert band championship in Santa Fe Public Schools history. The program continues to enjoy strong community support and a tradition of musical excellence.
